After a lot of hard work, Matthias is now one of the best judoka’s in the world. He is the current vice-world champion and Olympic medalist in the class -81kg. At the age of only 27, he already won big titles like the World Championships (2021), European Championships (2019), World Masters (2019 and 2023), Paris Grand Slam (2020, 2024), Abu Dhabi Grand Slam (2021), Tel Aviv Grand Slam (2022) and Antalya Grand Slam (2023).
